Multipure Aquasource

                                                The Aquasource
                                     Multipure's Whole House
                                      Water Filtration System

Our Whole House/point-of-entry (POE) system the Aquasource is a very robust system designed to treat some of the most common problem areas for the whole house: sediment, chlorine chloramine and lime scale.  The Aquasource has a lifetime Warranty, no other system has this kind of coverage.

This system installs in the garage or basement near the water heater. An array of multiple solid carbon block filters ensures that it reduces the presence of contaminants while maintaining the high water pressure needed to supply all the sinks, baths and showers in your house.

The (CB20) filter effectively reduces dirt, rust, sand, algae, chlorine and chloramine, improving the smell, taste and odor, and overall quality of water  for bathing or showering, and all other household water needs.  If you choose the CB20 3 filters will be included with the Aquasourse. All 3 filters must be the same. The Multipure filters are disposable and easy to change.

This optional filter reduces lime which prevents scale build-up on the tips of faucets and on shower heads. It also helps prevent the buildup of calcium deposits inside your plumbing. However, this media does not remove the hardness (calcium, magnesium, etc.) from the water.  This filter also reduces dirt, rust, sand, algae, chlorine and chloramine, improving the smell, taste and odor and overall quality of water for bathing or showering and all other household water needs. If you choose the Multipure Aquasource Scale Reducer CB20SLI 3 filters will be included.

If your water has a noticeable amount of large particulate matter (et., sand , dirt, leaves, etc.), Multipure recommends the installation of a Sediment Filter (purchased separately) before the Multipure Aquasosurce, which extends the useful life of the replacement filter cartridges.

The Aquasource can provide high volumes of water for restaurant use. It will also do a very good job of making the water taste better.

We recommend that professional plumbers install the Aquasource however, it can be routinely maintained by customers. The base system does not come with any installation parts, they need to be provided by the installer. If properly installed with a drain valve, by a plumber, a customer (who can lift 25lbs.) can easily maintain the system. The only regular maintenance needed for the Aquasource is the periodic change-out of the filter cartridges. This is an easy process-if a drain line is installed- and shouldn't take more than about 10 minutes.

The Multipure Aquasource Whole House System is designed to be most effective with municipally-treated water and is designed for cold water use only, and at a maximum water pressure of 100psi.

90 Days-Satisfaction Guaranteed. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your Multipure Drinking Water System, Multipure will refund 100% of the purchase price.

Lifetime Warranty on stainless Steel & Plastic Housing. The exterior stainless steel housing and plastic housing (canister) is warranted for use and will be repaired or replaced at no charge.

A set of three (3) filters required for the Aquasource will arrive in a separate shipment (at no additional shipping and handling cost).

PFC"s In Our Drinking Water

What are PFCs?

Commonly known as PFCs and PFOA's  (per- and poly-fluorinated chemicals), these chemicals are put into products to make them more resistant to stains, grease and water, and may also be used in some food packaging, as well as in some firefighting materials. Because they help reduce friction, they are also used in a variety of other industries, including aerospace, automotive, building and construction, and electronics.
Anytime a fabric is labeled waterproof, water-resistant, or stain resistant it is most likely made with PFCs. They break down very slowly in the environment.

Where are PFC’s found?

PFCs have been detected in drinking water all over the United States in both fresh and saltwater.
Throughout the world  these chemicals are found in water bodies, even in the deep sea and have also been detected in remote areas, such as the Arctic and Antarctic and polar ice caps. Some PFC's accumulate in fish living in contaminated waters.
The metal, paper and textiles industries use a wide range of products containing PFCs. Monitoring studies suggested that where PFC's were detected, drinking water treatment did not remove these chemicals. However, new data show that PFC's are effectively removed by granular activated carbon absorbers.

Some PFC’S can dissolve in water. are water-soluble and spread by way of water flow. Therefore, drinking water may be a major source of exposure. The worldwide spread – for instance, in Arctic snow – raises the question of how the chemicals are able to reach even remote areas. Chemists have shown that they are distributed globally by means of airstreams

PFCs can be released into the environment from landfill sites where products and materials that contain these chemicals are sent for disposal, and into ground and surface water through sewer discharges. The biggest environmental concern about PFC's is that they do not break down in the environment and can travel long distances in water and air currents. and remain in the environment for a long time.

Why should I be concerned about PFC’s

PFC's have been shown to be toxic to some animals, and because they don’t break down, they can bioaccumulate and biomagnify in some wildlife, including fish. This means that fish and animals higher in the food chain may accumulate high concentrations of PFC's in their bodies.
The chemicals are also known as endocrine disrupters and have been linked to so many health problems – cancer, miscarriages, thyroid problems, birth defects, reproductive problems, and other serious health problems that they have been phased out in the US and essentially banned in Europe.

How Can I lower My Risk of PFC's in my drinking water.

Granular activated carbon (GAC) filters have been recognized as effective technologies for reducing PFC compounds from water. Install a water filter for drinking water (even in your shower or bath)
Multipure’s carbon block filters offer a vastly greater carbon surface area to filter PFCs.
Multipure Drinking Water Systems have been tested and certified by NSF for the reduction PCB's PCB (Endocrine Disrupter) under (ANSI/NSF Standard 53)

New Studies Highlight Dangers of PFC Contamination in Drinking Water

Recent studies published in Environmental Science and Technology Letters (ESTL) and Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP) examine the presence and effects of drinking water contamination by poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). These chemicals, part of a broader category of substances known as perfluorochemicals (PFC), have been linked to negative effects including high cholesterol, hormone suppression, cancer, and decreased child immune system health.

Troy Kent: City should question fluoridation

The real questions are about accountability, full disclosure, compliance with all of the laws established to protect consumers, and compliance with the industry standards established to protect us.

As the elected commissioner for Zone 2 in the city of Ormond Beach for the past 10 years, it is my duty and responsibility to ask the tough questions of our water chemical supplier about their products’ safety and effectiveness. Even if asking those questions means the editorial board at The News-Journal will characterize my efforts as “a waste of time, energy, and tax dollars.”

While the statements in the Oct. 30 Daytona Beach News-Journal, representing actions that the city of Ormond Beach and I took concerning the issue of fluoridation, were not inaccurate in themselves, they did mislead the reading audience by missing a most crucial point.

Our city continues to provide assurances that the product we use to fluoridate is both safe and effective; however, not one manufacturer of the hydrofluosilicic acid in the U.S. and Canada, including our current manufacturer/supplier, would back up our claims. Nor would any one of them provide the simplest of information about their product, including providing the product data that they are required to submit in order to merit certification for a water district in Florida to purchase their product.

The crucial point that was missed is not whether putting a vote to the citizens was too expensive at $45,000, but what difference it makes if the city cannot be trusted to perform the due diligence expected of stewards of the public water supply, and act on it. What I projected, and hope you will demand, is that the real questions are about accountability, full disclosure, compliance with all of the laws established to protect consumers, and compliance with the industry standards established to protect us. This certainly isn’t fulfilled by media statements that claim that everything has been proven.

What I learned is that since 1988 there are no federal safety standards for direct water additives, including the fluoridation chemicals; so despite the politically biased interferences from the EPA and CDC, they are not accountable, and neither are the dental trade associations, such as the American Dental Association.

All one has to do to confirm the hypocrisy of those promoting the public policy, while hoping you will ignore the actual product that shows up in the truck, is to request a toxicological study on the health effects of continued use of the hydrofluosilicic acid we inject into the public drinking water.

Then watch the scramble to tell us that scientific toxicological studies on the actual product itself are not necessary, that this category of product is different from anything else ever known because the consensus of scientists for more than 60 years of fighting is that we should trust in a theory that absolves scientists from looking at the actual product.

Let’s see: 65 years of conflict, and the media forgot to tell you that the proponents have no toxicological studies on the actual product used that support their claims.
Not good enough!

I believe that someone should be accountable for these claims of safety and effectiveness that are so freely distributed. I can guarantee you that the city of Ormond Beach does not have such proof.
The News-Journal editorial board took a moment to remind me and all the readers that two Pinellas County officials were voted out of office possibly because they voted fluoride out of their water supply.
Let me put it in black and white. I will not be bullied or threatened with the possibility of losing my elected position because I have real questions for our fluoride supplier and he/she will not respond. I ask the public, do you want an elected leader who makes their decisions based on fear of losing their elected post? I want someone who makes good, commonsense decisions based on all of the facts. A red flag goes up when the one group (the chemical supplier) who is supposed to have the answers to my questions will not respond. They owe that much to the public that purchases their product.
Kent represents Zone 2 on the Ormond Beach City Commission.

Stop Palm Coast from adding fluoride to the municipal water supply.

The first thing you should know is that the fluoride they put in our drinking water is not a pharmaceutical grade additive.
It is an industrial waste byproduct.

The “research science” done to support water fluoridation was underwritten by these massive companies:

Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA)
Aluminum Company of Canada
American Petroleum Institute
DupontKaiser Aluminum
Reynolds Steel
US Steel
National Institute of Dental Research

Convincing the general public that we need to add fluoride to our water supply was one of the most sophisticated cons of all time. It created a multi-billion dollar industry and enabled manufacturers to sell this worthless toxic byproduct of aluminum to local municipalities for a profit.

The main fluoride chemical added to water today is hydrofluorosilicic acid an industrial by-product from the phosphate fertilizer industry.

Fluoride given to rats has been proven to cause bone cancer, liver cancer, and a host of other physical ailments.

Dr. William Marcus, Senior Science Advisor to the EPA Office of Water, was fired because of his outspoken opposition to water fluoridation in the early 1990’s. He even claimed that they rigged their test results to show that fluoride did not cause cancer when in fact it did.

It is illegal to dump fluoride into our lakes and rivers, but it is perfectly fine to put in our drinking water and toothpaste.

The Fluoride Deception is a book based on ten years of research by BBC reporter Christopher Bryson on the history and dangers of water fluoridation, and is some of the source material for this post. His research is so in-depth and well documented, it is virtually irrefutable.

There is also a ton of information and independent research from all over the world atwww.FluorideAlert.org

Since 1997 the FDA requires all fluoride toothpaste sold in the U.S. carry this warning:

WARNING: Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, seek professional help or call a poison control center immediately.

This is because a tube of toothpaste contains enough fluoride to kill a small child, and most young children swallow some toothpaste while brushing.

Palm Coast is going to be deciding whether to artificially fluoridate the municipal water supply. It is unethical, immoral, and illegal to medicate people without their consent. Regardless of your views on the benefit to risk ratio of consuming artificially produced fluoride, the people who are going to be purchasing this water should have a say in whether or not it is medicated. Please ask the Palm Coast City Council to refrain from artificially fluoridating our water.

1. Studies have shown the consumption of fluoridated water is linked to many health issues

2. Drinking fluoridated water doesn't prevent tooth decay.
Fluoride works when applied directly to the tooth surface.

It unethical to forcibly medicate the whole of the public to treat a minority.

Of these investigations, 50 of the 57 human studies have found that elevated fluoride exposure is associated with reduced IQ

As of April 2016, a total of 57 studies have investigated the relationship between fluoride and human intelligence, and a total of 38 studies have investigated the relationship fluoride and learning/memory in animals.

Of these investigations, 50 of the 57 human studies have found that elevated fluoride exposure is associated with reduced IQ, while 37 of the 39 animal studies have found that fluoride exposure impairs the learning and/or memory capacity of animals.

The human studies, which are based on IQ examinations of over 12,000 children, provide compelling evidence that fluoride exposure during the early years of life can damage a child’s developing brain.

A vast body of fluoride research clearly demonstrates that certain subgroups in the population are particularly susceptible to fluoride toxicity.
  • infants;
  • individuals with kidney disease;
  • individuals with nutrient deficiencies;
  • communities of color; and
  • individuals with polydipsia.

Fluoride in Palm Coast

1. Studies have shown the consumption of fluoridated water is linked to many health issues including:
2. Our community deserves access to clean, pure drinking water. It unethical to forcibly medicate the whole of the public to treat a minority. Water fluoridation violates our rights as individuals to choose whether to ingest fluoride or not. Once our water supply becomes tainted, only expensive advanced filtration systems can remove the fluoride.
3. Drinking fluoridated water doesn't prevent tooth decay.Fluoride works when applied directly to the tooth surface. To date 98% of European countries have banned water fluoridation due to the associated health risks. And still, data from the World Health Organization shows their tooth decay rates have declined at the same rate as the U.S. and other fluoridated countries.
In fact, many health professionals have spoken out about their concerns regarding the effects of water fluoridation.
We must tell the Palm Coast Commissioners, that if there is any doubt about adverse health effects caused by water fluoridation, then leave it out!
Please call our  commissioners and tell them we want to stay fluoride free!

Why Not Bottled Water

  • Bottled water is expensive.
  • Bottled water is hard on the environment.
  • Bottled water isn’t necessarily purer than tap water. An investigation by the Environmental Working Group found chemical contaminants in every brand tested -- including disinfection byproducts, fertilizer residue, and pain medication.
  • spring waters contain many of the same impurities found in drilled wells or even tap water
  • purified water is cleansed and purified through additional purification processes, typically reverse osmosis, distillation or deionization taking out all beneficial minerals.
